Welcome! For more than 35 years, Penn's Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts has been a major cultural destination and crossroads in the arts, connecting greater Philadelphia audiences and the University of Pennsylvania through innovative human expression in theatre, music, and dance.

As one of Philadelphia's cultural treasures, the Annenberg Center takes great pride in presenting both world-renowned and emerging artists who express adventuresome perspectives on contemporary issues, timeless ideas, and diverse cultures.

Over the past half-decade, we have sought to narrow our focus and deepen our impact through the presentation of distinctive programming that will resonate powerfully with patrons like you: individuals who share a passion for the authenticity, emotional intensity, and intellectual challenge that the best in the arts can evoke.

Our 2007-2008 Penn Presents season embraces theatre of "issues and ideas;" roots programming tied to specific world cultures; modern jazz and new music; and—in partnership with Dance Affiliates—contemporary dance celebrating the pioneers and innovators of the 20th Century.

Though you may prefer to purchase events one-at-a-time over the course of the year, I encourage you to take advantage of our flexible "pick-your-own series"—either across many genres or within one—according to your personal tastes and interests. In so doing, you'll not only save money, but you'll also obtain the best seats available.
